I am a freelance photographer who specializes in figure skating photography. I began taking photos at skating events in 1999. In 2006, I upgraded to a digital SLR and enrolled in digital photography classes at the Chicago Photography Center. A year later, I traveled to Lake Placid, NY for the 2007 Lake Placid Ice Dancing Championships as a volunteer photographer for ice-dance.com (IDC) and have been a contributing photographer and journalist at IDC ever since. My photos and articles have also been published in Blades On Ice magazine as well as on IceNetwork.com and USFigureskating.org. In recent years my work has also expanded to include portraits, weddings, candids, and nature.
